Meet the Team Behind Five Star Logistics

Sal Gonzalez

CO-FOUNDER / PRESIDENT

Sal Gonzalez is the Co-Founder and President of Five Star Logistics, Five Star Transport, and Frontgate Inc. Each of these companies were created from the ground up with new innovative concepts, hard work, and dedication. Sal is very passionate about taking on new challenges in the business world and furthering his education. Sal is a US Army veteran, having worked as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic as well as a Motor Transport Operator prior to branching out and becoming an entrepreneur.

Stephanie Gonzalez

CO-FOUNDER / VICE-PRESIDENT

Stephanie Gonzalez is the Co-Founder and vice-president of Five Star Logistics. She has been an entrepreneur since the age of 13 when she started her first business and has been running her own businesses ever since. She believes that hard work, commitment and open communication are fundamental to achieving success. Stephanie also helps operate a non-profit organization in the St. Cloud area whose focus is to provide quality learning opportunities for tap dancers and artists. She is a US Army veteran having worked as a Track Vehicle Repairer and a Motor Transport Operator. Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in both Communication Studies and Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University, as well as a Liberal Arts Degree from Santa Barbara City College.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Stephanie took on the role of HR Manager in May 2023 after spending six years with FedEx Ground. She enjoys being part of a team that values its employees and takes pride in providing excellent service to our customers. Her experience in the transportation industry has given her a strong appreciation for teamwork, communication, and creating a positive workplace environment. Stephanie is a graduate of Buffalo High School and, outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and fiancé. A couple of her hobbies include camping and gardening.

OFFICE MANAGER

Teresa’s career with Five Star Transport started back in 2007. Since Teresa’s start, her duties have expanded to handling all accounts receivable/accounts payable tasks and oversees the HR and Payroll Departments. Teresa resides in Sartell with her husband. She has 2 adult daughters and a growing number of grandchildren.

Erin Mapes

LOGISTICS REPRESENTATIVE

Erin is originally from St Cloud, MN and joined the Five Star Logistics team in the fall of 2021. Having a strong background in service, sales, and management. She has jumped right in and started contributing immediately from fielding calls for freight or calls for payment status updates. She also posts loads, books them, and provides clients with real live quotes. A homebody who enjoys spending time with her family and gaming. She has really embraced the company values of providing top service for our clients and looks forward to growing with the company for years to come.

Assistant Logistics Representative

Connor is from Clearwater, MN & joined the Five Star Team in the Fall of 2024. Connor has since had a crash course on the transportation industry and assists in sales, dispatching and even loading our asset trucks. When he’s not helping keep freight moving, he enjoys spending time on the lake, talking sports and trying his best at stand up comedy. When his schedule allows, he enjoys attending Back Street Boys concerts and amateur hand modeling contests.
